I don't know about you guys, but this year seems to have flown by! It feels like just a few months ago that I took my first holiday of the year, and now we’re in autumn and the chilly, darker days are here to stay!
I thought I would share with you guys a few things I keep within easy reach in my wardrobe when autumn comes around. It’s been a minute since I last did a style post but I headed out this weekend to shoot a couple of different looks including my autumn staples!
I’d say my biggest autumn staple is my shearling jacket - I picked this up last year from ASOS and I absolutely love it, it’s super warm and perfect for chilly mornings. It’s also great for either wearing casual or dressing up a bit - I often wear it to work in the colder months and it looks pretty smart with a shirt and tie! Shop ASOS’ latest shearling jackets here.
Autumn wouldn't be autumn without a collection of jumpers, this one I picked up from Next last year, it’s great for early autumn as it isn't too thick, so you’re not going to get sweltering if the weather warms up in the afternoon. I love the ombre type pattern and it’s a really nice jumper to chuck on with a pair of jeans for a chilled out weekend look.
I recently picked up a new jacket from John Lewis’ Kin collection - it’s not a collection I have seen before however, their autumn trends were on point. I have always been a fan of the bomber jacket style and have had many different ones over the years, however, I never really find them very warm. This one is an exception, as it’s quilted it offers a nice layer of warmth and it’s perfect for chilly autumnal mornings - I tend to wear this more for work, but it works well for a more polished casual look, too! You can pick this up from John Lewis for £115, just click here.
My final staple right now is my Adidas NMD R2 sneaks - If you’ve followed the blog for a bit you’ll know I pretty much live in sneakers, I picked up my NMD R2’s a couple of weeks back and they’ve not left my feet since. They’re like slippers they are so comfortable, and I think autumn is all about feeling comfy and chilled and these are the embodiment of that! You can pick these up from Office right now for £70 - click here to shop.
