Gym Bag Essentials

There seems to be a day dedicated to just about anything, and today is all about men’s grooming. Yup, it’s #NationalMensGroomingDay and I thought I would share with you all of the grooming products I use at the gym. If you follow me on socials, you’ll know I have become a bit of a gym nut this year, I try to go once a day, 5 days a week and I love it. It’s great for both improving my body, and stimulating good endorphins.

I often go to the gym in the morning, so I want products that are quick and easy to use because if I faff too much, I’ll definitely be late for work.

I have been absolutely loving the Male Grooming by Trevor Sorbie shampoo, body wash and face wash. It smells fantastic, and leaves my hair feeling super clean after smashing a workout. I also love the fact that if I forget my face wash or shower gel (honestly, happens as least twice a week), it can be used as both of them too and it does a pretty good job.

If you checked out my recent post about my skincare routine, you’ll know I use Kiehl’s on my face. Currently I am using the Energising Face Wash, it’s perfect to use in the morning as it has a nice cooling tingle and I definitely need waking up!!

Also from Kiehl’s I use my Ultra Facial Cream, it’s a daily moisturiser and also has Factor 30 SPF in it, meaning I’ll hopefully be able to hold off the sun damage and wrinkles for a little bit longer.

Okay chaps, if you’ve had a proper workout you know the one thing you need plenty of is deodorant. I use a couple of different ones, I have been a fan of the L’Oreal Men Expert range for a while, but recently an old name got in touch and asked if they could send me some deodorant to try out. If you don't know Lynx, then I’d be seriously shocked. The brand has had a makeover from the days of teen boys bathing in Lynx Chocolate, and instead opted for a higher class image. I am a big fan of their Charge Up Antiperspirant, it is heat activated so you get a nice burst of freshness throughout the day, worth checking out.

Hair-style wise, when my hair is longer I avoid putting any thick cakey products in it because my hair is weighty enough as it is, so at the moment I have been using a texturising powder, it holds my hair in place after blow drying it, but is also lightweight and natural looking which is ideal.

They’re the main grooming products I use after a gym session, what do you use? Let me know in the comments below, or over on Twitter or Instagram!
