There’s so many different swim short styles to pick from, heck there’s millions of lengths, patterns and did you want a draw-string with that, sir? Don’t worry yourself, Squire is here with a couple of different options that I have tried and tested myself.
If you’re hot on your summer style then you’ll know a slim-fitting tailored style swim short is extremely on point (or fleek as I seem to have seen the youth saying) if you haven’t heard of Bluemint before then I would definitely recommend checking this style-conscious brand out…their shorts are ridiculously soft and luxury quality and are perfect for around the pool, on the beach and for all of you yachting folk, too!
They kindly sent me a couple of pairs from their Arthur collection. Smart, above the knee shorts look really good, I am seriously impressed by them. Their prices are relatively steep at around £77 per pair however I personally can see mine lasting me a couple of years so I think I would be able to justify spending that amount for 2 years service. The pairs I was sent were Petit Carre and Dazzling Blue, both are really nice but I LOVE the Petit Carre print, the mix of colours looks so good, they’re great for wearing out, too!! You can shop the Bluemint Arthur range here!
Next up the folks from Boardies got in touch and asked if I wanted a pair of their rather jazzy (people use that word, right?) swimmers to take over to Mallorca with me...never one to turn down a funky pair of shorts I picked my pair and I think they are pretty cool. All of the Boardies range are available in two lengths which is a pretty neat idea, I went for the mid-length Beachball shorts, they feature loads of bright summery colours and are also available in the shortie length.
Personally I am not really in to an ultra short short I just don't think they are a great look. I guess some people can pull them off but I didn't go for them because guys I just can't rock that look! These shorts are available for £45 and are available from loads of stores and sites including ASOS, Topman and Selfridges...you can check out the Boardies website here!
What swimmers are you rocking this summer?
