I am always keen to keep my wardrobe updated to keep it fresh each season, so when New Look got in touch to ask if I could pick some season staples, I knew this was one for me...Read More
Brass monkeys more than describes the last couple of days, it’s been ridiculously cold right across the country and wrapping up has been a must…or just staying in doors and eating cake till 9pm 🙄
I have wanted a shearling coat for ages now, something warm and casual that I can chuck on over a jumper or shirt and a pair of jeans. Shearling is great for styling up or down so it’s definitely a versatile piece to have in your wardrobe.
I hadn't found the right one, I knew exactly what I was looking for as I had a really particular style in mind. When browsing ASOS one day I found the exact jacket I had been looking for, slim fitting and plain on the outside with a soft tan colour, and super fluffy on the inside to keep me warm.
I have to say I am actually really impressed with just how fluffy it is inside! Often brands will just put a little bit of fur lining round the cuffs, ASOS have packed this bad boy full of the stuff, right up the sleeves and all inside the body, it’s super warm and really comfortable. It’s super thick and is perfect for this time of the year, especially on these ultra frosty mornings!
I paired the jacket with a simple pair of Topman spray-on skinny jeans in black, some Nike Stefan Janoski’s in khaki and my gradient blue to grey M&S jumper from their always-stylish Autograph collection.
Can you believe how quickly autumn has crept up on us? Honestly, it feels like spring was just a few weeks ago, and this up and down weather certainly doesn't help when deciding what to wear for the day. I tend to update my wardrobe with some key pieces each season to make sure that I have all the latest trends to mix and match throughout the season.
This autumn I have been checking out John Lewis, I am sure I don’t need to do any introduction for the UK’s most famous department store, but I have been seriously impressed by the effort they have put into their menswear collections, adding new brands and making sure they’re on the very top of the seasonal trends.
One of their latest additions comes in the form of Scandinavian brand Samsøe & Samsøe. The luxury brand offers some chunky knit jumpers, smart-casual shirts and easy to wear jackets make for a fantastically versatile collection, I especially like the Shields Jacket, a black jacket with really cool gold zip detailing. It’s the type of jacket that you could wear during the day for a really casual look, or dress up with a shirt and smart shoes in the evening for a comfortable yet smart night out.
The fall collection is perfect for updating your wardrobe, with lots of earthy, neutral tones that you’ll definitely want to wrap up in as the cooler mornings - I love a flannel shirt, their Liam flannel shirt comes in a pearl blue colour, a great colour for layering, like the Kronos crew, team these with a pair of black jeans and some Chelsea style boots and you’ve got yourself a really good look.
I’ve got to say I am really impressed with John Lewis, they’ve got a great collection together with Samsøe & Samsøe and I’ll certainly be picking myself up some items from the collection if you want to shop the full range, click here and take a look! Hola from a very sunny and beautiful Menorca!
I recently got talking to the guys over at Pull & Bear about my summer campaign #THISISSUMMER, and they asked me if they could become part of the campaign in a summery shoot. The beautiful city down the road from our villa just fit the shoot perfectly, and it allowed me to become a total tourist and snap a few pics of the buildings etc, too!
I styled up the outfit with a few additions to give it that tourist edge, there’s so much to see and loads of little side streets to mooch down in the city so I made sure to take full advantage!
Pull & Bear hit me up with a few items to pick from, but for this outfit, as we were also going for a meal out, I wanted to pick something that would work both out and about sightseeing and also be fitting for a nice meal on the marina.
I am a pretty big fan of the ripped jean look, so I opted for some ripped denim shorts from Pull & Bear, as you’ll probably gather from past blog posts, I am a fan of black especially when it comes to jeans or shorts, so these are pretty perfect for me. They came with a drawstring through them but I wasn't much of a fan of how they looked with it so I snipped it out. You can pick these up in grey (which I will probably pick up, too!) and they’re a complete bargain right now for £12.99! I personally am super impressed with the quality of the denim, it’s even comfortable in the heat. You can pick these up here.
Now, I don’t usually wear much colour at all, monochrome is definitely what I tend to opt for…however the guys at Pull & Bear sent me a pink tee and actually I don’t think it looks too bad! It’s got a dipped hem at the back and is a great comfortable tee, it isn't too slim fit so it won't be getting all up on your body when you’re warm! Also, I was pretty impressed at how lightweight it is, there’s nothing worse than getting all sweaty in a thick, slim fit tee! You can pick up this tee in Rose Pink or Sky Blue, great for those pastel trends. It’s a pretty reasonable £7.99 and can be picked up here.
I teamed up the outfit with my Moonrock Yeezy Boost 350s as I wanted my feet to feel comfortable walking around the city. I also wore my Apple Watch, which I am rarely found without, a beige suede snapback which really compliments the tee, my mirrored Ray-Ban Clubmasters and my leather backpack which is just the right size to carry my life in!
I’M OFFICIALLY 21!!! Today is my Birthday and I thought what better way to celebrate than to blog about my new favourite thing…my Topman camel coat!
So, camel coats are pretty big business right now, everyone’s wearing them and I thought I would invest in my own. I headed straight for Topman, I knew exactly which coat I wanted and I was prepared to fight to the death for it…and I nearly had to.
There was only one in my size left in my local Topman store so I did the really mature thing of basically racing another guy to get the coat…I took home the coat, and a medal for 1st place nifty bastard 👊🏼
Camel coats are great for so many different style, whether super smart or ultra casual it just works so well. My coat has a bit of length which is great because it keeps you warm but not too warm, as you’d usually wear it open.
I decided to pair my coat with a red plaid shirt for a bit of colour, a white crew-neck tee - which I have to thank my man Oliver Cheshire for recommending when I had a chat with him last week, a pair of my signature black spray-on skinny jeans from Topman and some black zip suede boots…there’s a lot of black going on, I know!
It’s a great spring outfit and I am loving layering shirts, tees and coats right now - hopefully as the days get a bit warmer I can just wear the coat with a white crew tee. Topman actually have a huge range of camel coats to pick from, you can click here to see the full range or click here to check out my exact coat…it’s on offer for £50 right now so I would definitely recommend checking it out!!
Well, I’m off to go and wear party hats and eat copious amounts of cake…you’re only 21 once, right? 🎂🎉
So yesterday I headed to Cambridge with my family to surprise my sister for her Birthday and it went SO well…she didn't have a clue 🎉
For me, it was my first time in Cambridge, it so lovely it’s like some next-level Harry Potter set, seriously cool and a great place to walk around - we would have gone punting down the river but the Great British weather let us down so it wasn't really worth it. Anyway in true blogger form, I took the opportunity to get some outfit shots for today’s blog post.
Rather than lugging all my full SLR camera kit around with me, in my pocket I chucked my Canon G7X so I could just get some quick shots here and there, it definitely passed the test and I am more than impressed!
It was a pretty chilly day so I chucked on my warmest coat which is from River Island - I see quite a few guys wearing this, it’s sort of a bomber-shearling hybrid, it’s pretty cool and like I say, keeps you nice and warm. You can find all the different colourways of it by clicking here.
Next up, I love a shirt to team with a casual outfit, it’s great for spring because it offers you that element of warmth for when it’s chilly but also wont get you too stuffy either. The shirt I picked for this outfit is from H.E. by Mango - I actually picked this up when I was in Europe last year, due to the fact it’s a year or so old I don’t think Mango stock it right now - however, this one is a great match for it and will only set your back £36!
The jeans I am wearing are part of a new collaboration that’ll all become apparent in a couple of weeks. These are from…you guessed it, Topman and are the spray-on skinny fit - pretty much the only fit of jeans that I wear, baggy jeans on me just look absolutely ridiculous to be honest. They’ve got the ripped knee that I am loving right now and cost a pretty fair £40 - I always say that I am happy to buy Topman jeans for £40 because they last so long, always really impress me, check them out here!
Finally, the boots. Now a lot of guys have a defined style, they either rock boots or sneakers or brogues etc etc however my shoe wardrobe is full of all different styles of shoes from sneaks to brogues and everything in between. These boots are from Ask The Missus and I picked them up from my local Office store - they’re so comfortable that I am fully intending on buying all of the other colour variants that they stock - these are called the Blame Game Zip Boot and cost £74.99, I personally love the slouchy casual style of them.
What are your style choices this spring? Drop me a comment below or over on the following social media…
Wan’t to collaborate or send me something? Either get in touch or drop something over to my PO BOX: Sam Squire, PO BOX 10521, Seaford, NG34 4EQ
When you’re cruising about the place in a nice motor like the very lovely Hyundai Tucson Premium SE, you want to make sure that you’re also dressed the part. I put together this outfit to give you some inspiration for dressing the part when you’re cruising around in your luxury SUV. Or in my case, sat in the boot…it’s always best to dress well for a kidnapping.
Here’s everything that you need to know to steal my look and dress your best.
First up the camel coat is being rocked all around the gaff at the minute, even Yeezy was spotted out wearing one…now Squeezy over here is rocking one, too! (I tried to combine Squire with Yeezy, don’t hate me).
This coat is from Topman, I actually found it pretty hard to get a decent one on the high street but this wool blend bad boy is comfortable, warm and everything you’d be looking for in a camel coat. It cost me £95 but is now on sale (f*ck sake) at £65…grab it whilst you can!
The jeans are….Topman! Of course, if you’ve been reading the blog for a while then obviously I pity you but also you’ll know that I only ever wear Topman’s spray on skinny jeans. Ripped knees are totally on trend right now, so like a sheep I got myself a pair - these are really comfortable and great quality, worth checking out! I can’t find my actual ones on their site but these new ones have a contrasting colour on the rips!
My denim shirt adds a subtle bit of colour to the outfit, which goes perfect with the white tee, too. The shirt is from Pull & Bear, their clothing is awesome and such good quality, I got this when I was in Lille, France so I don’t know if it’s just globally available or is just in France as I can’t seem to find it here. Any denim shirt would go well, though!
Team with a pair of tan chelsea boots for a super slick look.
So if you can’t tell by my bright red nose…winter has officially arrived. Snow is drifting its way across the country and temperatures are hitting the minuses…so what better time to go an photograph some jeans with the knees ripped out…
I bang on in every blog post about Topman’s spray-on skinny jeans because A) they are my favourites and B) I am hoping for some free pairs (JOKE, before anyone gets shitty with me…) - spray ons are my go-to, I think I look really weird in jeans that are baggy, I look like I'm trying to be a cool 90’s dude but clearly failed.
On browsing in my local Topman I came across a section of ripped knee spray-ons and I literally had no idea which ones to buy. I went for the black ones because I like black things to match my soul…plus they pretty much go with everything I wear in my winter wardrobe. They had some different blue shades in the same style which I did contemplate but I just didn't feel brave enough to move away from my staple black jeans.
Upon buying, I dropped a little Tweet to express my excitement…Topman swiftly replied insinuating these are definitely not for the current weather…clearly I was feeling brave (not drunk) and headed out to get some cool snaps in the chilly weather…the snow had literally just melted and I instantly regretted every choice I had made up to that point….a model’s life, eh! 😏
These are pretty much my new favourite jeans, I teamed them with a Pull & Bear denim shirt my winter coat from River Island and my Dune chelsea boots which I definitely need more of because even I’m starting to get bored of seeing them in every blog post I do 😬
These jeans are available right over here for £38...I paid £40 in store and now feel I've been robbed £2...
Did you have the best Christmas?! I hope you did!
Ah there’s nothing better than being gentry, right? I recently look a stroll around my house and grounds (ha, I wish) because that’s just something Lord Squire does. I thought i’d snap a few pics along the way and show you my winter style.
Plaid and black play a pretty strong game in my winter wardrobe, nothing beats a nice warm plaid shirt. I tend to wear them in different ways, with this shirt I simply did up the top button and wore a dark undershirt but sometimes you can just leave it completely open, I just found it slightly chilly.
My jeans are of course from Topman. Those of you who are established followers of mine will know that the only brand of jeans I ever wear (and actually own) are Topman’s Spray on Skinny, I love the fit and just find them super comfortable, actually the pair I am wearing are about 5 years old…a pure quality item!
My coat is one of the more recent purchases, is beauty is from River Island and is hands down the best coat I have ever worn, it’s warm, comfortable and looks pretty swanky too. It’s got a vibe of shearling about it but not too much, I don’t want to go for the full Del Boy…
Finally my boots, which clearly weren't made for walking on 16th Century cobble stones (or maybe I’m not…) are from Dune, they’re a really soft leather and I genuinely think I could walk for hours in these. I love Chelsea boots, they’re great to complete the look and these ones in particular are the comfiest boots I have ever worn.
What is your winter staple?
